Applications for the Laurie McBride and Sam Catalano Scholarships are now open.
The Laurie McBride Scholarship offers an award up to $7,500 for the 2020-21 academic year to a qualified
junior or senior or classified graduate student. Open to all majors at Sac State. The scholarship is named for long-time LGBTQ lobbyist and activist Laurie McBride.
The Sam Catalano Scholarship offers an award up to $2,000 for the 2020-21 academic year to qualified Los Rios Community College student. This scholarship is named for long-time LGBTQ activist Sam Catalano, a leading figure in civil rights organizing.
Funded by the Stonewall Foundation of Greater Sacramento, the scholarship aims to support emerging advocates who understand that fighting for equality requires ongoing commitment and resolve.
