Funded by the Stonewall Foundation of Greater Sacramento, these scholarships aim to support emerging advocates who understand that fighting for equality requires ongoing commitment and resolve.
Nora Zade is one of our 2020 recipients of the Sam Catalano Scholarship.
This Fall, Nora will be a junior majoring in Psychology and Native American Studies at UC Davis. Nora’s career goal is to become the director of the Indian Education Program in El Dorado and Amador county, where she will work on fostering a safe, inclusive space for
youth to have access to important resources.
Donna Delgadillo is one of our 2020 recipients of the Sam Catalano Scholarship.
This Fall, Donna will be studying at Sacramento City College and American River College pursuing degrees in Music Therapy, Gerontology, and Ethnic Studies with an emphasis on Native American Studies. Their career goal is to become a therapist of music treating the underserved elders in our community.
Sage Beamon is one of our 2020 recipients of the Laurie McBride Scholarship.
This Fall, Sage will be studying at Sacramento State, pursuing a BA in Communication Studies with a double minor in Marketing and Sociology. Post undergrad, Sage plans to pursue a master’s degree in Communication Studies.
Tranh Pham is one of our 2020 recipients of the Laurie McBride Scholarship.
This Fall, Tranh will be completing their 3rd year at Sacramento State University studying Counseling. Tranh is very excited about becoming the first woman in their family to receive a Master’s degree. Their career goal is to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist serving socially and economically marginalized members of our community.
